What does 'inspired by gin' actually mean?
The description "inspired by gin" aims to replicate the flavour profile and complexity of a classic gin. London Classic is not a syrup, but a distilled component.
As with traditional gin, botanicals (herbs, spices and citrus fruits) are macerated and then distilled or infused with water, with the alcohol deliberately omitted or removed. The result is an aromatic, complex flavour that forms the perfect base for alcohol-free long drinks and mocktails.
How does POLLY London Classic taste?
POLLY London Classic is our homage to traditional dry gin. It was developed to deliver the characteristic notes and sharpness of the original – alcohol-free.
Flavour profile: The foreground features a strong, clear juniper aroma, supported by a citrus ensemble of coriander and lemon peel. The finish reveals a slight sharpness, created by peppery notes and a hint of cardamom. This complexity ensures that the flavour is retained even when mixed with tonic water or other fillers.
